Madonna settles suit with neighbor who complained of noise

By DAREH GREGORIAN Last Updated: 7:33 PM, November 30, 2011 Posted: 7:33 PM, November 30, 2011 Madonna's not causing a commotion on West 64th Street anymore. A lawsuit charging the pop icon was expressing herself too loudly for upstairs neigbor Karen George has been settled, court records show. George sued the Material Girl and the building's coop board, charging that loud music and dancing from the singer's apartment was driving her crazy, and the building hadn't done enough to try to stop the problem. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Louis York gave the case the green light to go to trial back in September. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed. Madonna moved out of the building earlier this year, and now lives in an East Side townhouse. Her rep, Liz Rosenberg, did not return an email for comment, but said earlier this year that while Madonna lived in the building "she was a beloved and excellent neighbor."

Madonnas determination to dance in skyscraper heels is her choreographers pet peeve. Dance expert Rich Talauega creates the international superstars elaborate stage and promo routines with his brother Tone. Rich says although Madonna is a great person to work with, her attire sometimes leaves much to be desired when picking up routines. Shes a quick [leaner] and we choreograph for a woman that dances in heels! Thats our pet peeve, but she makes that sh*t work and makes it sexy, he told the UK edition of OK! magazine. She hates us sometimes and says, You know Im in heels, Im like, I know baby, and she goes, You shouldve been born a woman! Rich admits he and his brother sometimes clash with the star. He explained Madonna is very head-strong when it comes to her work ethic. Oh yeah, quite a few times, he revealed when asked if theyve disagreed before. Once I was under the weather and I was close to saying something to her that wouldve been very disrespectful. I was about to boil up. But ...

The Next Best Thing Red Something Borrowed This is Madonnas comeback to film after the 1996 Evita. In this 2000 film, she plays the lead female, Abbie, a 30-something yoga instructor with a biological clock on speed. Yoga is about the best thing Madonna does here, as her acting is stiff. The odd things about Abbie ranges from an accent which varies between American and British to always being captured in soft lighting or a golden haze and an obsession with the Don MaClean song, American Pie. The film opens with a statue of Lord Shiva, and towards the middle of the plot, Abbie sports a pottu. The Indian elements dont seem to gel with the tale which is about Abbie and her best friend, the gay Robert, who have a baby because of a one-night stand. They decide to raise the child and be a family. A decade later, along comes handsome hunk, Ben (Benjamin Bratt). Theres tension in the happy family, leading to a custody battle. Madonna's 'W.E.' Trailer Premieres: Watch

Madonna 's second go at directing a feature length film, "W.E.", won't see its U.S. release until 2012, but the trailer for the semi-historical romantic drama has just been released. Starring James D'Arcy and Andrea Riseborough as King Edward VIII and his lover Wallis Simpson, "W.E." tells the story of when the monarch abdicated his throne in 1936 to marry the twice-divorced American. The kicker, though, is that the love story is seen through the eyes of a modern day New Yorker played by Abbie Cornish. A radiant-looking Madonna has already done a wealth of promotion for the film, including high profile appearances at film festivals in London, Toronto and Venice. The multi-faceted star's previous directing credit on a feature was in the 2008 comedy "Filth and Wisdom," about a Ukrainian Gypsy and his two roommates in London. Her last big screen appearance as an actress came in 2002's "Die Another Day." Watch the "W.E."...

By Jenna Gregory on Monday 14 November 2011 Rex It seems Madonna has finally succumbed to the celebrity fragrance market. The queen of pop revealed she will be launching her first perfume, Truth or Dare, early next spring. Madonna signed the deal with Coty, announcing the Truth or Dare Eau de Parfum will hit the shelves by May 2012, after debuting exclusively at Macy's the previous month. The 53-year-old singer revealed to Women's Wear Daily, ' I have always been obsessed by fragrance . And for years I wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me but that other people could relate to as well. 'Something honest, and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare.' The bottle itself looks sophisticated and classic , with edgy modern detailing. The fragrance range, consisting of a b...

New Madonna single leaks online

Madonna's new single has leaked online. The track, called 'Gimme All Your Love', has surfaced in full on the internet, showcasing a more dance pop sound than the hard edged, hip-hop influence of her last album, 2008's 'Hard Candy'. Lyrics include the lines: "Don't play that stupid game / Cos I'm a different kind of girl / every record sounds the same / you've got to step inside my world / Give me all your love and give me your love/ Give me all your love today / Let's forget about time /And dance our lives away." Although the track sounds polished, it is possible the version leaked is not the final single, and could be a demo version. The 53-year-old hitmaker is rumoured to be playing at the Superbowl in the US on February 5 next year, where she is expected to debut the new single. Singer M.I.A and rapper Nicki Minaj are rumoured to be joining the 'Vogue' hitmaker for that performance, sparking rumours they could appear on her n...
