Madonna's Latest Album Makes Her Best Ever
Madonna has become the most successful solo artist ever in the UK album chart after her latest offering went straight in at number one.
MDNA is the singer's 12th album to top the chart beating Elvis Presley's record of 11.
The album's success will be welcome news for Madonna , whose first single from MDNA, Give Me All Your Luvin', peaked at only number 37 when it was released in February.
Tenor Noah Stewart became the first black musician to have a number one album in the classical chart with his debut Noah.
The album also entered the main album chart at number 14, the second highest new entry behind Madonna's MDNA.
Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said: "This is a truly groundbreaking achievement for Noah Stewart.
"Most people naturally look to the singles and albums charts for the emergence of new talent, but Noah is sure to become a familiar name for years to come following this landmark breakthrough."
