Did you think Madonna, the 53-year-old grand dame of pop, had officially left scandalous concert headlines to the youngsters?

Think again. During a tour stop in Tel Aviv last Thursday, a video montage projected during Nobody Knows, an album track from 2003s American Life, includes an image of French political leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika emblazoned on her forehead (which, in 2012, is sort of the equivalent of flashing your middle finger at the largest television audience in history). Le Pen has not taken kindly to the association, and has threatened legal action against the Material Girl.

Check out video of the montage below.

Le Pen is the figurehead of the National Front party, whose founder, her father Jean-Marie Le Pen, publicly condoned hate crimes and was fined for making racist remarks. We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes, Le Pen told the paragon of journalistic integrity Daily Mail. When asked whether she would be seeking legal action, Le Pen cryptically stated, If she does that in France, well be waiting.

Madonna hasnt commented yet on the montage or on Le Pens statements, though it already seems like the sort of scenario where everybody is wrong, which appears to be a theme for this week.

Madonnas MDNA tour is scheduled to hit Paris on July 14. She begins the North American leg of the run in Philadelphia on August 28.
