Duchess of Cambridge and Madonna scout a new trend
It's all about dressing up as a Boy Scout this week if unlikely fashion bedfellows the Duchess of Cambridge and Madonna's latest looks are anything to go by.

When Madonna confessed in 2011 that she was a fan of the Duchess of Cambridge's style - no really - we thought it safe to assume that the sartorial appreciation society was all one-way traffic. Indeed, bar one pre-royal appearance at a roller disco Kate has, to the best of our knowledge, never taken to the dance floor in a pair of fishnets and satin hotpants like the 54-year-old Queen of Pop is want to do.

How wrong we were - on today's evidence, Kate is closely following Madonna's wardrobe choices too, it seems.

First Madonna rolls up to present at last Saturday's GLAAD Gay Media Awards channeling a sexy Boy Scout in the traditional U.S. uniform pimped up with the more unconventional flourishes of leather fingerless gloves, fishnets, scarlet lips and an old-Hollywood blow-dry.
Then today, the Dreamy Duchess (still trying to find her a People's Princess type nickname) could be found beside a snowy campfire at a Cumbrian Scout Camp, getting into the Baden Powell spirit of it all in a knotted Scout neckerchief slung atop her khaki parka.
But in case you're now feeling the need to rush out and raid the nearest teenage boy's wardrobe to get teh look, relax. Madonna, it seems, was only 'in character' to attack the youth organistaion's ban on gay members - a thoroughly unfashionable stance and one the Dreamy Duchess would certainly never approve of.
