Madonna - Madonna 'reduced To Tears' Over Super Bowl Show
Madonna was announced last year to be the performer at the prestigious Super Bowl half-time show, and the Queen of Pop hasn't been taking the task lightly, if recent reports are to go by. The 53 year old has said that the routines she's been practising for the performance - which typically lasts around 15 minutes - have brought to tears so rigorous have they been.
"I'm sorry if I cry. I'm just so exhausted from Super Bowl rehearsals," Madonna told an audience whilst attending a screening of her film 'W.E' at the Ziegfield Theatre in New York. The UK's Metro newspaper reports that the performer seemed shocked by her histrionics, going on to say, "I'm not usually a very sentimental person. Don't hold it against me."
Talking about the task of fitting in a suitably epic show in such a short space of time, Madonna commented "I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on Earth and seven minutes to take it down so the football field is clean for the second half. That's the challenge. How do you do that? I wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling," said the star who wouldn't be drawn on whether Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, both of whom also feature on tracks of Madge's forthcoming studio Lp Mdna, would be involved.
