Madonna cries while singing

The latest surprise on Madonnas current tour occurred in Berlin when she began crying onstage.

During a rendition of her 1984 hit song, "Like a Virgin," the barely-clad singer became emotional and started crying before the song was finished.

Madonna was beat, incomplete, sad and blue as she took the stage and performed a slowed-down version of her mega-hit, Like A Virgin in front of her adoring fans, wrote PerezHilton. We love this stripped down versionbut now we have the urge to listen to the original just to cheer ourselves up!!!

However, her mood changed when a shirtless backup dancer lifted her and fastened her to a corset before beginning to stroke her body.

"Don't cry, Madonna!" a fan then cried out.

The singer, 53, then regained her composure and finished the song.

Other surprises Madonna has given on her MDNA tour include mooning her audience during performances of "Human Nature" in Istanbul and Rome.

Her next single, "Turn Up the Radio," is due Aug. 5.
