Madonna adds fresh dates to world tour
After selling out shows in Berlin, New York and Amsterdam, American pop star Madonna announced on Monday a slew of new dates in cities around the globe for her massive 2012 tour.
The tour launches May 29 in Tel Aviv, followed by 26 stops in European cities and 26 stops in North America. Following the release of her upcoming 12th studio album, MDNA, Madonna's global stadium tour will also see the star heading to Australia and South America for the first time in 20 years. Those dates have yet to be announced.
Live Nation Entertainment announced that new shows have been added including in New York City's Yankee Stadium on September 8, Washington DC's Verizon Center on September 24, and Seattle on October 3. Tickets go on sale February 21. On Monday, February 13, tickets for additional shows in Los Angeles, San Jose, Toronto, Chicago, and Vancouver went on sale.
Additional shows in Europe so far include Berlin on June 30, on sale Friday, February 17, and Amsterdam on July 8, on sale Saturday, February 18.
