Madonna promises 'no nipples' at Super Bowl

Madonna has promised TV bosses and censors her Super Bowl gig on Sunday will be wardrobe malfunction-free.

Janet Jackson took the stage with Justin Timberlake during the football championships back in 2004 and their performance grabbed headlines when the Nasty hitmaker's breast was exposed, resulting in one of the most infamous wardrobe malfunctions of all time.

The incident prompted TV bosses to implement a number of new laws against broadcast indecency, and Madonna insists she won't be testing the rules.

During an appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Monday, she said, "Well for sure (there will be) no nipples. I wasn't gonna go there. I mean I don't like to repeat myself or do what other people have done before me."

And the veteran entertainer admits she's really feeling the pressure to wow at the Super Bowl: "It's the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done. The Super Bowl is, like, kind of the holy of holies, it's the sacred show of America. And I have to go on in the middle of that holy of holies and put on the greatest show that was ever been put on before (sic).

"And here's the crazy part I have eight minutes to set up the stage and seven minutes to take it down. I'm not sure why I got cheated on the other side... I'm particularly nervous with a show like that because, for instance, they're playing football all day so they don't really have time to do a soundcheck. It's a little bit like a circus act get in there, roll out my carpet, put on my show and get the f off."
