Madonna vs. Joe Francis on Girl Gone Wild title fight?

Yesterday, Madonna unleashed the lyric video for Girl Gone Wild, the latest single from her forthcoming MDNA.
And there is a boy, apparently, who is not so wild about it: Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis says he threatened legal action if the single was released with its original plural title.
He appears to have been satisfied, though its unclear how thoroughly. In a statement, Francis said that the shift from Girls to Girl was an immediate solution for [Madonna's label Interscope] to thwart any injunctive relief.
Clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action surrounding the song, he continues. But this is still infringement as far as the law is concerned and we have been in touch with Madonnas representatives in an effort to resolve this issue.
However, according to longtime Madonna manager Guy Oseary, Francis is shoveling bull. Oseary said the threat of a lawsuit did not prevent Madonna from singing the song at the Super Bowl (as had been rumored), nor did it inspire the songs name change (according to Oseary, many song titles have been in constant flux for weeks). He also notes that there are dozens of songs called Girls Gone Wild, as one can corroborate from a quick iTunes word search, and that Madonna herself has been completely unaware of Francis legal threats or his very existence.
Regardless of how the title change happened, two facts remain clear: The song is called! Girl Go ne Wild, and according to that lyric video, Madonna still wears underwear in public better than most women half her age.
Whats your take is Francis just trolling for publicity? And are you excited for the arrival of MDNA at the end of March? Go wild in the comments.
