Madonna to play Consol Center Nov. 6

At last, Madonna has re-discovered Pittsburgh on the map.

The Material Girl will make her first appearance here in 27 years on Nov. 6 (election night) at Consol Energy Center.

Tickets -- $372.75, $178.50, $94.50 and $47.25 -- go on sale at 10 a.m Monday at LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster retail outlets, via charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or the Consol Energy Center box office.

Madonna, who just played the most-watched halftime show in Super Bowl history, will begin her tour May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel, supporting "MDNA," her 12th studio album and first in four years. Scheduled for release on March 26, it has already produced the Top 10 hit "Give Me All Your Luvin'."

The 53-year-old star has skipped Pittsburgh on seven different tours since playing the Civic Arena in May 1985 with the Beastie Boys on her breakout Virgin Tour, following the release of "Like a Virgin." It drew 14,500 fans, many dressed like Madonna in fishnet stockings, skirts and short, navel-baring tops.

Asked about the scalper-level ticket prices for the better seats on this tour, she told Newsweek earlier this month, "Start saving your pennies now. People spend $300 on crazy things all the time, things like handbags. So work all year, scrape the money together, and come to my show. I'm worth it."

There is one bargain to be had. Fans ordering tickets online will receive their choice of a digital or physical copy of the album with every ticket purchased. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale through Citi's Private Pass Program. For details visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

Lifetime Legacy members of Icon, Madonna's official fan club, will receive first access to tickets and VIP packages. Fans can sign up for a free Icon membership at Madonna.com.
